It’s all well and good going on holiday to a hot country – you’re finally getting to swap that woolly jumper and those heavy boots for a crop top and flipflops.
But what about when the country you are visiting has a completely different culture and religion to your own? You might not be aware of it, but you may be disrespecting the country’s culture by wearing a certain outfit. This is what blogger Mummy & Boo talks about in her blogpost after having visited the north African country of Tunisia, where the majority of the population is Muslim.
“Travelling across the globe is great for being exposed to be different cultures and customs, including differing levels of dressing modestly. I think it’s important to research and respect the culture of the country you are visiting. Tunisia is typical of many North African and Middle Eastern countries where by you can wear swimsuits and bikinis yet a cultural awareness of when it’s deemed appropriate is advised.” – Mummy & Boo
She continues by explaining that the Miss Tunica tunic with the accompanying slipdress is perfect for middle eastern destinations as it’s both comfortable in the sun, stylish beyond the beach, and respectful to the culture and religion. A real “holiday staple that can be worn time and time again in any setting.”
Mummy & Boo was wearing Miss Tunica’s long creation MONDELLO in the colour Black Diamond, and she sure looked both stylish and comfortable in the sun!
